Donate ($ + Services)

No, you can't write it off on your taxes, because we are a politically active group. But every dollar is appreciated, and will give you internet access to our spending habits.

Detroit Liberation needs more than just money. We could also use:

-- printing services

-- pamphlet/flyer distribution

-- organizational services

-- "Peace Officers" for the rally

-- bands for the music

-- drummers for the drum circle

plus, we will need

-- standard-sized tables for participating organizations

-- CANOPIES!!!!

-- display solutions for information

-- a remote amplified speaker

and many more things I just can't even think of right now.

Call 313.622.3429 for details or to offer. Please leave a message if you call.

Attend our Rally, but don't let that be the End!

Make your vote count!

Those of us in the Drug Liberalization community need your help, year-round in fighting the wasteful, cruel war on Americans called the Drug War. Make Love, Not War. But how?

DetroitLiberation.Org recommends these 5 ways to participate in the worldwide movement to free the weed and break the prison-industrial complex:

1) Do not -- EVER -- vote for any candidate for any public office, from President and Senator to Sherrif and DogCatcher who does not support the legalization of Cannabis! When candidates toss their hat in the political ring, on a national or local level, contact them, ask them about their thoughts on Cannabis liberalization, and if they do not support this, LET THEM KNOW you will not be giving them your vote!

The best way to keep up with political candidates both in and running for office, is to visit Project Vote-Smart.

2) Be aware of the status of your current state laws and how they need to be modified, as well as upcoming alerts relating to your freedom.

- Subscribe to the newsletter for Michigan NORML. Join them to keep informed of news and events.

- Or, subscribe to the newsletter for your state at the Marijuana Policy Project, specifically their Subscribe page.

- Subscribe to the newsletter for the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML), specifically their Chapters page.

3) Contact your legislator -- use Project Vote-Smart -- and ask their stands on the issues important for you. Use EMail, regular post mail, and phone contact for the best coverage of the issue. Most elected officials have a toll-free number or a local office to save telephone toll charges.

4) Write letters to your newspapers, attend neighborhood meetings, and city council sessions.

5) Get informed about the issues, their history, the arguments others will use against you, and their redaction. Our Links page and Education page are great resourses.

6) Your suggestion here. Please WRITE US to make a suggestion.

"A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded."

-- Abraham Lincoln, December 8, 1840

“The illegality of cannabis is outrageous, an impediment to full utilization of a drug which helps produce the serenity and insight, sensitivity and fellowship so desperately needed in this increasingly mad and dangerous world.”

-- Carl Sagan
